Door codes, in the order you need them
Most locked doors on Aurora 5 open with a four-digit code from a nearby email or note. These are confirmed in at least two recordings or by a developer.

What is RetroSpace?
RetroSpace is a first-person immersive sim from The Wild Gentlemen, the Hungarian studio behind Chicken Police, published by Kwalee. You play a nameless janitor on Aurora 5, a city-sized space station that has been pulled into a sentient black hole and keeps jumping between two time periods. It launched on October 1, 2026 for $19.99 on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with Switch 2 to follow. The developers quote 10 to 20 hours for a normal run, with 10 weapons, 10 Mutamods and 10 tech gadgets, four difficulty levels and at least two endings. Death sends you to a cloning chamber with a random cloning error, and most locked doors open with a four-digit code hidden in a nearby email or note, which is why our door code list is the most-used page here.

The cloning loop
- 1 You die
Anywhere on the station. On harder difficulties you also drop some items on the body.
- 2 Helo Dome clones you
The last activated chamber rebuilds you for free and saves the game.
- 3 Cloning error
The clone comes back flawed: alcoholism, bad manners and more. Errors can stack.
- 4 Recover your genes
Walk back to your corpse and extract its genes, or pay for gene reconstruction at a Helo Dome.

When does RetroSpace come out?
RetroSpace released on October 1, 2026 at 5:00 PM CEST, which is 11:00 AM EDT and 8:00 AM PDT. A developer gave that time on the Steam forum. It launched the same day on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
How much does RetroSpace cost?
$19.99 in the US, according to the developers' Steam FAQ; regional prices vary. There was no pre-purchase on Steam.
Is RetroSpace multiplayer?
No. It is single-player only and the developers have no co-op or multiplayer plans at this time.
