How codes work on Aurora 5
Almost every locked door, terminal and turret panel uses a four-digit code. The station staff were careless with them, so codes turn up in terminal emails, voice messages, sticky notes and even blood on the floor. Your PDA (the PHCD) keeps the messages you have saved from terminals, so open its messages tab before you go hunting. If a number looks like a date, try it: 2177 is the year the Aurora fleet set out.
Codes are not the only way in. Doors in RetroSpace usually have a second route: a vent, a hatch you reach by stacking boxes, or a hackable panel. The developer reply about the morgue says it directly: "There is two ways to get in there. A code, and a secret route." See the walkthrough for the order you meet these doors in.
Numbers we have not placed yet
Recordings show a few more numbers whose purpose is not clear yet. We only add a code once we know what it opens and have seen it work, which is why some numbers players quote online are missing here. The full game unlocked on October 1, 2026, so expect this list to grow quickly.
Door code questions
What is the morgue code in RetroSpace?
The morgue door code is 2236. It is written in blood on the floor at the end of a curved hallway near the morgue once you are in the other timeline. You can also skip the code: in the small storage room behind the turret near the morgue entrance, look up, stack a box and climb into the hidden route. A developer confirmed both on the Steam forum.
What is the turret code in RetroSpace?
In the medical section the turret control panel takes 2177, which switches the turrets to friendly. The developers say each area of Aurora 5 has its own turret code, so 2177 will not work everywhere.
What does 0451 open in RetroSpace?
The ICU door in the medical section. Rafael Mirage mentions it in an email on the reception terminal. It is also a nod to System Shock, where 0451 was the first door code.
Do demo codes work in the full game?
The medical section codes seen in the demo (0451, 2177, 1234 and 2236) also appear in full-game recordings. Your demo save does not carry over, so you still have to find the notes again.
Are there redeem codes for RetroSpace?
No. RetroSpace is a single-player premium game with no promo or redeem codes. When people search for RetroSpace codes they mean the four-digit keypad codes listed here.
